Our client is a well established international IPP company in renewable energies. The company has a portfolio of projects in development of 2.2 GW in Spain and 1.2 GW in Portugal, and has recently begun the development of 5 GW of floating offshore wind power.

The role

As the first employee of the Group in France, your role will be to oversee business development in France and drive the projects from end to end.

You will represent the company locally and be accountable for the growth of the development team for the french market and you will work hand in hand with the company head office.

Missions

Oversee the development of the company’s greenfield portfolio of renewable energy projects in France:

  • Establish and execute the strategy for sourcing the land and finding new opportunities for PV plants & storage.

  • Lead and oversee the development of all projects of the company in France, with the support of in-house resources and external service providers (including the filing of applications to the relevant authorities to obtain all necessary permits).

  • Supervise the realization of the ready-to-build projects. Manage financing, construction and maintenance with in-house personal as well as third-party companies and local authorities.

  • Create and lead the local development team as the company grows locally.

Represent the company in France as a first point of contact :

  • Support the corporate team with any matter that they need to carry out in France. This includes dealing with local providers and authorities for services such as admin, accounting and HR.

  • Create and manage relationships with the local ecosystem involved in every step of the value chain of a renewable energy project, from leads to the operational and maintenance phase.

Technical infos

  • Contract : CDI

  • Annual salary (depending on profile) : € 80-100k (excl. bonuses)

  • Location : Paris (preferably)

Profil recherché

The profile

Softskills:

  • Taking ownership of your work and using your abilities to tackle challenges and make an impact

  • Excellent management and relational skills

  • Great adaptability and openness to learn

Hardskills:

  • Middle to Senior level (minimum of 5 years, ideally 7+) in renewable energy project development and business development, ideally focus on solar PV projects

  • Full experience of the development process, from land identification and securing all the way to Ready-to-Build (RTB), as well as experience in pipeline origination and stakeholder management

  • University degree in Engineering, Business or Law

  • English speaker
